Hi, I’m Chuyun! I’m drawn to almost everything in philosophy, ranging from formal epistemology to critical social theory, but I currently focus on philosophy of language, mind, and action, especially at their intersections with normativity and social philosophy. Topics I’m most excited about include semantics and pragmatics, conversation, mental action, attention, and collective and diachronic practical reason. I also have burgeoning interests in the foundations of social science and the philosophy of psychiatry.

Before joining Pitt in 2026, I graduated from Colgate University with a BA in Philosophy and International Relations, and from Columbia University, where I received my MA in Philosophy.
