Mentoring Program

The Pitt Philosophy Mentoring Program pairs interested undergraduate students with graduate students at Pitt Philosophy as their mentors. The program is meant to encourage better communications between undergraduate and graduate students at Pitt Philosophy.

The program mainly helps putting mentors and mentees with similar interests in contact. The content of the mentoring is up to to the mutual agreement of the mentor and the mentee. However, helps with undergraduate coursework or undergraduate advising shouldn't be expected from the mentor program. Students looking for helps with coursework or advising should consult their TAs, lecturers or advisors accordingly.

The availability of mentors is not guaranteed. Priorities are given to students (1) pursuing a major in philosophy; (2) in later years of their undergraduate studies (typically, Junior or Senior) and (3) looking for information about graduate programs in philosophy.
