I joined the department in 2019. Before that, I got a J.D. from the University of Chicago and clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. I have a B.A. in philosophy and government from Georgetown University. My central interests are in philosophy of language, philosophy of law, and metaethics, although I have a broad array of secondary interests. A topic of my recent work has been the meaning of moral language in legal contexts.
