I am from Iran. Before coming to Pitt in 2020, I received my ASc in Mechanical Engineering from the AmirKabir University of Technology in 2012, a BA in Philosophy from the University of Tehran in 2017, and my MA in philosophy from Texas Tech University in 2020. I have broad interests in value theory but above all in moral philosophy in a broad sense (including moral responsibility and topics in practical reason), political philosophy, philosophy of art. I'm also interested in the philosophy of emotion. Bernard Williams is my philosophical hero!

Outside of philosophy, I'm a cinephile who loves classic Japanese cinema, classical Hollywood, and enjoys reading Bordwellian/formalist film studies. I'm also a staunch fan of Germany National Football Team, FC Bayern Munich, and Roger Federer.
