I work primarily on Kant’s philosophy. I am currently thinking about Kant’s idea of a self-limitation of reason, the role that logic plays in his conception of that limitation, and the views of judgment, thought, and action that issue from it.

I am also interested in general theoretical philosophy, especially certain intersections of aesthetics with the philosophy of mind and action.

Before coming to Pitt in 2020, I completed an M.A. in Philosophy at UC Santa Cruz.
