Nowadays I think mostly about reasons. My dissertation is chiefly concerned with defending the idea that normative reasons to act in some way explain why acting that way would be valuable. Some other philosophical interests include pleasure, free will, and distributive justice.

In my spare time I listen to music and play chess. I'm the proud father of a betta fish named John, a snail named Amy, and a frog named Stephen. Perhaps one day I will collect all nine Justices.
