Before joining the department at Pitt for my PhD in 2014, I completed a BA in philosophy, politics and economics at Heidelberg University and a MPhilStud in philosophy at King’s College London. My main interests lie in Kant and post-Kantian philosophy in the German and Anglo-American tradition, especially in transcendental philosophy and its potential contributions to contemporary philosophical debates. Systematically, I am particularly interested in the philosophy of mind and language. Issues that come to mind are intentionality (esp. perception) and the related notions of normativity and meaning as well as questions regarding skepticism and truth.
